We have to admit it; We did not invent the concept of an air fryer. This cooking tool has been on the market for a while, but have gained popularity through recent years – and we simply love it too!
So what is an air fryer exactly? The answer is both easy and complex. At its heart, it is a miniature hot air oven. But in function, it is so much more. The air fryer is a hybrid tool that combines the best features and functions from a deep fryer, hot air oven and microwave oven.
You get the excellent crisp frying that you would expect from a deep fryer or a really good hot air oven, but with much less oil used (if any at all!).
You also get the incredible speed and ease of use that you know from your microwave. Set the timer, put in the food, and wait for it to finish in record time. The air fryer will heat yesterday’s leftover just as fast as your microwave! – But with such superior result that you will never want to use your microwave again. We all know that the microwave will dry out any kind of meat, and not even heat the food consistently. When using an air fryer, this is a thing of the past!
Of course, everyone can imagine that an air fryer is perfect for making French Fries, Chicken Drumsticks, and anything else that you would normally want to make in a deep fryer or hot air oven with a lot of oil on it. But an air fryer can do so much more than you could imagine. Bacon? Put it in the air fryer. Soft/Hard “Boiled” Eggs? Put them in the air fryer. French Toast? Put it in the air fryer. To be totally honest, we have never experienced an electrical kitchen tool that replaces the usage of so many other tools and machines.
